escrow is suppose to close today. how much longer do i have?

I am selling my home, the contract i signed said that escrow would close today. I haven't heard anything from my realtor. can something still go wrong. can the seller back out? and how long do i have to get out of my house and hand over the keys? i live i los angeles, ca.
