I'm in Pa. I recieved a letter to appear in court for eviction proceedings. I paid my rent up to date before I recieved the letter. I have to appear in court because of the time lapse between when I got the letter and when I could show that I paid the amount in full. I sent a letter to my land lord and their lawyer, to see if we could come to an agreement for me to stay until the end of November. I stil haven;t heard back from either of them. My landlord has my last month's rent and security deposit.
Do I have have any recourse? Sept's rent was paid on time and I have half of October's rent to pay to the realty company If I can stay.
What if anything can I do?
